Well, my computer is back. It's still a little cranky, but at least it works. I ended up taking the whole thing apart and putting it back together. I suppose shaking the dust off made it work again.

So I took the job. I am now a member of the IT department at St. Johns River Community College. I went by the Human Resources office yesterday to discuss benefits and so forth. Working for the state, I get pretty good Health Care and all that.

I'm starting to feel like a full blown resident now. I've got a Driver's License, a Voter's Registration Card, a Blockbuster Card...it all feels pretty weird. I'm back in the real world now. I'm not saying that China wasn't real, but it was different enough to this to be in a totally different catagory. I suppose if I had to call one real it would actually be that one, but still. My point is my worst fear has come true: China feels like a dream.

I'm still at a weird point in my life. I'm not exactly ready to settle down yet, but I've got no idea where I want to go. I feel like I'm planning a jail break everytime I think about leaving. Especially now that I've got a job and a church and all the rest of that stuff. I'm writing this as I'm watching "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" again so I'm not really paying that much attention. Anyway, nothing else to report. To my student, who are expecting a lot of pictures: I'll get them up eventually.

I know it's been a while. I'm back in the US and living with my in-laws.

The good news is I got a call back today on the IT job. I told them I'd think about it and call back on monday. I'm probably taking the job since I'm just about totally broke.

The bad news is today my computer decided to go into an early retirement. I turned it off and now it won't turn back on. So I'm having to post this from my parents computer.

Ok, time to get back to doing nothing. I'll probably be silent again for a while 'til I get another computer or fix mine.
